Floyd County, Iowa | I have a FarmFans CF/AB dryer, and have the "quiet fan" on it. It has 10 or 12 blades on it, and you can carry a conversation standing right in front of it. The dryer is about 200 feet from our house, and can't hear the dryer fan, but you can hear the burner cycling hi/lo. The 16" aeration fans on the bins are much louder than the dryer.
IIRC, if you go with the quiet fan, it takes a different motor than the original fan, but that was almost 20 years ago that I bought it.
