Fruita CO | The injector line fittings are different on the later engine. I ran into that when I put a combine engine in a 4430. The engine that punched a hole in the side of the block had a new rebuilt pump on it, & the customer wanted to keep it rather than send it back with the core...
I think what I did was cut the fittings off the injector end of the lines & use the right fittings with new ferrules. The difference is between the old Y--shaped injector & the "in-line" Bosch...
So it can be done, just not a straight swap...like most swap jobs...
There's really no advantage to the later pump, the early one can be set up by a pump shop that knows what he's doing. | |
