Red River Valley, North Dakota | Build your drain with 1.5” x1.5” board around outside edge so your grate can be simple 2xwhatever boards. Drive or roll whatever across all day long and if you wreck a board it’s easy to replace. I have 4 buildings with these in and zero regrets.
First was garage and I started with steel grate. Got all rusty fast and put down 2x6 treated board around 10 years ago. Should get another 10 at least.
