JD parts only shows the Bosch in-line type pump with a serial number break. However both early and late pumps sub to the same reman number SE500204.

So, not sure what type pump you have. Maybe your tractor has an engine from a combine. I would talk to the pump shop and see what they can do with the style of pump you have now. Maybe you have a Stanadyne rotary pump. There’s lots of other things like the anaeroid control on a Bosch and just plain old wear that make a huge difference in response.

Something to check is the number of studs that mount the pump on the rear gearcase plate that bolts to the front of the block. Think you might be going from 3 to 4? Might prevent a direct swap without changing that plate. Shaft is going to be different anyway but it comes with the Bosch pump.
