Here (Ohio), I don't know anyone that puts P down in furrow with wheat, just because they aren't set up for it. And there's plenty of 100+ bpa wheat being grown. I wish there was a way to test P in furrow here without big equipment investments. I'm not sure how much yield I'm missing out on.
For op, here you'd get along just fine, but obviously soils vary. I wouldn't sweat it.
