I have had excellent results two ways. Before corn, I use a full rate of Paraquat with MSO with 20 gallons of carrier after fescue is up and growing. You have to get it in the growing point of the fescue. I have never had it fail this way, I tried 15 gallons of water, and did have issues.
Before beans you can use clethodim with roundup. I highly recommend AMS, good dose of roundup and a good dose of clethodim, I think we used 48 oz 5# roundup and 8 oz, clethodim, but that's off a cluttered unorganized memory.
