| Hi, looking for some insight here as I need to change some plans around. Currently spreading a 3-16-42 blend ahead of soybeans following corn every year. As I’m going over yield results what I’m noticing is that I’m getting enough K out there but not enough P in blend. Depending on yield I’m close to covering removal rates but not often. I need to get more P, wondering If it’s wiser to spread P before corn and take advantage of nitrogen from map or dap and then go heavy on potash before beans or if I should continue to cover every acre with a blend. I run a dry 6-28-28 blend before corn for P and K. Need a little more P in that blend too. Probably couldn’t do K every other year as I have some 5-7 cec dirt and won’t want to loose it but most of my ground I should be good. | |
