| Grew corn last year on 40 acres, put 180 units of Nitrogen on(NH3) but only grew 135bushel corn due to hail storm last summer. After harvest baled cornstalk off at 2 tons an acre, then drilled cereal rye to bale this spring and wrap wet, then will go back in with soybeans after. I know I'll need P and K before soybeans but wondering if the rye will scavenge enough left over nitrogen from the corn that I don't need to hit it early with some urea? your thoughts?
Thanks,
Cam
