Walnut Grove MN USA | I have thought of this too. Pro’s are seeder can pull double duty, capacity. Cons are it is an expensive and high maintenance machine and can be unwieldy thing to maneuver in corners and such. Also it is probably only going to get fertilizer about 3 inches deep which in my opinion will be too close to the seed if a row ends up on top of the band. I striptill DAP in one tank and potash/AMS blend in other tank in the fall, my rig can do spring as well. N has been sidedressed but plan on putting some down with planter this spring and sidedress the rest. Works well for me. I also have my own 16 ton tender which makes a big difference. | |
