SE Iowa | I typically make a couple thousand gallons and then pull from the supply as I build my foliar mixes. They store best when its warm out, but I typically keep a few totes worth in the shop over winter to use on my rye in the spring. There is definitely some salt out / crystallization that occurs if it is exposed to temps below 40 (ish). Not hard to get it back to liquid form though.
I run it through a sprayer. The urea itself doesn't seem to give trouble plugging screens once it is melted down, but I have been getting some sand along with the urea which is problematic. Bought a sand separator to try this year. | |
