SE Iowa | Got to be near a record for month of Jan. for precip. No frost in ground so the 24 inches of wet snow mid month has been melting from top and bottom along with the rain the first week of the month and now all the rain this week including last night. Guessing about 4 inches of moisture for the month. Also tied a record with minus 20 two nights in a row, Jan 13-14 and 7 of 8 days we had lows below zero. Have not seen that in many years. Creek has water in it now, was froze but now running hard from last night rain and melting. | |
