This is the way that many contracts get liquidated.
Margin money account goes empty,
The contract immediately is
terminated / cancelled / liquidated.
That typically only happens with online brokers or clearing firms……. It is one of the main differences from an online broker and someone like a Dorman, RJO, ADM etc
Unless the account is debit one usually doesn’t get forced out
The only time i have ever seen someone get forced out with someone that deals in “Hedging” like ones mentioned above was when the guy was on day 5 call and was out of the country as crude oil went negative |
