When cold outdoors, set the cabin at 40 and heated seats on. Sit inside with a wool blanket and see how comfortable you are. If ok, then see how long the battery lasts with that setup.


For that test to be accurate, your own metabolism needs to be at a low point. No activity or big meals in the last couple hours. Because if you're coming in from shoveling snow, you could sit in that 40f car and think it's downright toasty.
