Wouldn't much of the energy used by an ICE just be used to run the engine and create heat that is lost to the outside environment where the EV would only be using energy to heat the cabin? The ICE would seem to be like a 100 watt lightbulb, most of the energy creates heat and not the desired light where a EV would be like a LED bulb more efficiently using energy to create same desired light? Just random thoughts, no dog in the fight, my newest car is an 2013 so not in the EV realm yet.

I do like the acronym for Internal Combustion Engine being "ICE" for this cold test... Nice play.
