The whole thing is 3/16”, except for the reinforcement plates around the bungs which are 1/4”.
That’s one of several reasons I decided to build instead of buy. Those tanks have a pretty rough life at times in rough terrain and such. Most of the ones you can buy commonly (Weatherguard, etc) are 14 guage which is too light for my liking.
