| It could be argued that govt payments help protect the established farmer---helps them bid up the cost of farmland either in rents or price: and thus makes it harder for Young guys to break into Agric.
as big of problem is the almost certain disaster programs ie pork on top of the Crop Ins. Program that have become part of the expanded govt Ag program...........
if you don’t want to pay for someone else’s choices, then get government out of the way of the consequences of those choices.
Much like govt actions help protect the Big Corptns from free market competition entry into the markets...........good You Tube by Milton Freidmon explaining how FTC etc protect big Corptns and the best way to combat monopolies is to totally open up free markets, make entry into the market an economical decision not burdened also by a political / beuracratic decisions. | |
