Ripley, Ontario Canada
Around here 28% corn was considered "dry", and at times wasn't very common. I dumped lots at 35-38 and one load (3 tonne) that sat in a wagon a couple days was 44 %. BTW my local elevator had 2 fair sized driers and between the 2 of them they were doing 20 mt per hour, at 40% corn. They had the metering rolls set as slow as they would go, and was turning the plenum temp down because they were burning the corn. They were almost to the point they were going to have to put the corn through the drier twice to get it dry, explains why they were only open till 8pm, and they had days they wouldn't even take corn. (never seen that before unless they just didn't want to work on Sunday)
