They're probably thinking most boaters that trailer their boat from home to water will get their gas at the stations where they fill up their car/pickup instead of buying it at a marina where its usually higher priced. I find it a little hard to believe that boat motor manufacturers are just now testing their motors on higher %s of ethanol.
