western iowa,by Denison | Depends on vfd-a simple one for rumensin gets renew every 6 months-simple sulfa or auro and other drugs call for a vfd everytime it is a scrip
It's $25 for vfd-your vet and yourself have to have physical records of which pen,how many cattle and date
The vet could lose his license if proper paper work is not present and followed
a good relationship with a vet is your first line of defense
I think JD cattle is wrong on the vfd-and i disagree on shoving a bolus down there throat
If you want a pallet of 10 gram auro, you better have a vfd on how many head and pen numbers-its good for 5 days for 1 treatment period of 1gram per 100#
should be able to treat 800 head(500# calves) for 5 days at that level
I dont know what 800 bolus cost but if you need sulfa on 800 head I'm going to treat those 800 head with a water tank with another vfd for water medication | |
