I might be a couple years away but have been thinking about building a house on a sidehill on a deadend road a 1/4 mile off the road.Just wondered if anyone had a small windmill or a few solar panels that run a house.It would cost a ton to run electric service over a 1/4 mile so thought I might put that money into my own power generation.Have heard about a battery called a power wall,,if worse came to worse I could charge that once in a while with a small generator.

If I had a few solar panels along with a little windmill at least one should keep the furnace hot and freezers cold
