West Central Illinois		Waterloo, small wind turbines don’t scale well - their cost per kWh is much higher than large ones.
Solar on the other hand scales almost perfectly.
And prices have come down fast.
You need to do an expected power audit to know how big a system you need.
Edit to add: I would probably go with propane heat, water heater and stove. Plus if you have a propane tank your standby generator can run on that.
Mini-split AC units are very efficient - I run one on my camper off of solar.
