Depends on what they are- bred 1st calf heifers or retained weanling replacement quality heifers (best of your best) that you don’t have feed for.
The latest issue of “Angus beef bulletin” spotlighted a heifer development family operation in Indianola, Nebraska. They sell bred heifers and also sell bred heifers that they “custom calve/board” for older cattlemen that don’t want the hassle of potential heifer calving probs.
And now for the first decision of 2024- keep ‘em or move ‘em?
