Eastern NE KS | I disagree. It does not require extensive training if the operator understands he or she is trying something new and must try to follow simple directions without question.
I worked 60 head of weanlings calves thru a very traditional Bud box a neighbor offered we use. I had a 5 minute introduction and training to the arrangement for my first time using a Bud box. The owner offered a tip on the third bunch that made things smoother. Seemed to me it was as easy as the video implies.
I didn't fully understand why it worked so well but the results were satisfying. I believe if you must know why it works, more training will be required. This video is answering one 'why' I did not know but maybe not all why questions.
The Bud Tub design will keep the operator further from the cattle. That has good and bad points too. | |
