I am in the process of putting together a tandem truck. I have a smaller semi and trailer I use for long hauls but tandems work best for harvest in regards to both facilities and available help.
I first found a decent but slightly older freightliner M2 tandem. I takes a little searching but they are out there. Then I searched for older tandems with newer boxes and hoists. Surprisingly there are a lot of those out there. I'll have a little over $32000 in the truck when I'm done. It just takes a little patience, anda lot of time looking daily on the Internet sites. Now is the best time to be looking.
