Southeast Washington | Sometimes inexpensive and efficient don't work in all cases as we have here. It's a big world with different conditions and in our area in a spring you would see why there is so few semis being used on the farm because they can't get to the field. Add a trailer to the straight truck and you can haul basically the same as a semi during harvest.
The size equipment we pull when in the hills uses double the size tractors which are more expensive also but more efficient. In the flat country 300 hp works while the same tool in the hills requires 600 hp. With trucks your have to eliminate pulling any dead axles. | |
