NCIN
We’ve used one for probably 14 or 15 years. It mounts on the side of our Honda rancher. My 75 year old dad is the primary operator of the calf catcher (he loves it) and my boys fight over who gets to ride along and help grandpa. You have to get them the first day they are born or else they are just too fast and it can turn into a rodeo. Usually calves are laying down or are still getting their legs on day one and are pretty easy to get. Once in the catcher the calf gets tagged, a shot of vitamins, and weighed. We’ve had plenty of not so nice cows over time and you are well protected in the cage. If there are problems with the cow or calf you can haul a calf up to buildings with the cage or walk it up inside the cage. For us it’s a great tool to have!
