WCIL | Got one about 5 years ago. It is pretty noisy driving around a pasture so getting cows used to it is a good idea. The spring that pulls the front gate closed bangs around and noisy so would recommend putting a sock or something over it.
Put it on a Honda rancher first year and if I got into much mud it would pull it around a lot. Have it on a Kawasaki mule now and it handles it better but not quite as maneuverable.
The younger the calf the better. Probably less than one hour old up to 12 hours old before they get their wheels under them is the best time to catch one with it.
I have a younger man helping me now so about all we use it for is to transport a new born calf out of the pasture to somewhere else. | |
