Subject: RE: Good base for Tandem

Macon, IL
We have hauled hundreds (thousands?) of legal loads on 20ft tandems.

Grain cart scales helps-we don't load em spilling corn off the top. Tring to haul 550-not crop 650 or 700 on em. Drive better and safer when legally loaded too-easier on drivers and trucks. Not worth the risk for a couple thousand pounds extra. We have taken a couple in that I would call "Way over" with corn sticking up top to finish a field-58k. Not work the risk for an extra 60 bushel on a 4 or 5 mile haul to elevator.

I do have one tandem that has the rear tandem "too far" forward-on a per axle you are right on that one-hard to load it legal. The other two are fine.
