| Well here goes, I am not records driven so don't expect more Info then readily available. we run give or take 60 cows, have went to calving heifers at 3 years of age are entirely grass/fed only supplement they get is free choice 2:1 mineral mixed roughly 1 part Selenium 90 salt to 2 parts 2:1 mineral. We calved I think 59 cows of which there were 6 sets of twins had 61 calves and 58 cows at weaning at the end of Oct. May have butchered a cow that lost a calf so could have been 60 calved this spring-see not the world's greatest record keeper,( If I dug hard enough in the tally book might be able to figure it out, not that driven.) Preg checked at weaning with a milk progesterone test had 2 open, may be pregnant less then 30 days at that time, bulls went about the 21st of June, separated those 2 out have not seen either in heat to this point, one has a butcher date in Feb, the other in June for our freezer, is a young cow so should be acceptable at least to us. I have tried 2-3 different minerals over the past 19 years, with this program we have the best success, we are in the process of changing mineral, not because want to, but because Farm Fleet has dropped their 2:1 and I am not enthused about their replacement so am sourcing a 2;1 elsewhere.
