WCIL | You have no idea how prickly some of the DMV employees are in Illinois. No leeway on anything. An older township employee here who has never had an accident or a ticket, never speeds and is the epitome of a safe driver failed his pre trip test by 1 psi when asked how much air pressure loss was allowed. One tiny error or misspoken word and you completely fail. Not very conducive to getting people to get a license. When you get a certain age, Illinois requires you to drive every so many years to renew. New CDL applicants obviously have to have training of some sort. I get why a straight truck driver is easier to come by. | |
