Macon, IL | I got a quote for same job quite a bit cheaper-but yea its expensive. Trucks I am looking at don't need pusher. Have you seen what asking price/sales prices are lately?
I was bidding on an IH4400 auto a couple weeks ago-it was a nice clean farm tandem-but nothing like crazy low miles or anything-had a DT466 so not exactly a powerhouse either. Thought I may get it for 60-65k-it brough high 80s. Dealers north of 100-110k now with decent engine and Allison.
But you are right-the cost of the truck is a minority cost of the whole deal.
