Modena, Wisconsin | There was stuff as high as 45% around here with most right around 30% with test weights in the low 50's. Lots of it needed to be harvested because it was starting to mold in the field. There is still alot standing around here yet and the deer and turkeys are taking a heavy toll on that. With the snow conditions most have parked the combines until toward spring when it will go again. Many places stopped taking over about 33% because their dryers would plug and a couple had fires. Going to be quite a few trying to finish with the combine so they can get the planter going. | |
