| Bought fuel, fertilizer, chemicals, insurance, parts, seed, and then a JD6300 tractor to replace a JD4010. Needed an open station tractor for the jobs it does and there weren't many around. It's been here 2 months and I still haven't seen a better deal or one I'd rather have so I guess I'm satisfied. 4010 is in my shop fixing lots of little things I never took time to work on before. Not sure what I'm going to do with the 4010 yet. Trying hard to minimize income or create a loss to offset some capital gains. Hate to pay the government, especially on a gain they largely created through increased money supply and inflation. Really should apply the annual inflation rate to the basis and only pay tax if there really is a gain above and beyond inflation. Rant over. | |
