nc ks | I'm with Tara Farms. But I would go further. Cut everything except the insurance program, and scrutinize it closer if there are people taking advantage of it. Anytime you get government money flowing into something industry wide, all it does is get capitalized or the input suppliers charge what the market will bear. The conservation payments just allow the contractors to get more money because doing it the governments way costs twice as much and takes twice as long than just doing on your own dime. We don't mess with cost share anymore, we just do what needs done and do it in a sensible, effective way.
On the insurance side, don't most companies have access to insurance on their production from the start to the consumer? I would however agree to let it go too if we go cold turkey on handouts to anybody and everyone. | |
