The only one that is going to get their blood pressure raised over this is you and possibly your grandmother. If you're going to switch companies anyway, just let it go. Its not worth getting worked up over.
If you read through the fine print of the insurance policy I would bet that it contains wording that allows them to inspect the insured property (excluding building interiors) at anytime.
