South Central MN | This is a topic that probably belongs in the political forum, but since it's here now, I'm going to add my two cents. Since the beginning talk of a new Minnesota flag, it really bothered me. Minnesota was founded in 1858 and we got a flag many years after that, with a few modifications along the way. Since it's not a new state now, why do we need a new flag? On the other hand, as I drive around, I see many versions of the American flag, but I don't hear grumbling about that. I don't like that either. I will even go so far as to say I don't like the thin blue line flags. While I fully support law enforcement, I believe the American flag should be left alone and they could create an entirely different flag. I just feel when the American flag is randomly altered, it shows disrespect. Again, all just my opinion.
