South Central Iowa | Went out there year before last in late August for our honeymoon. Stayed in an air BNB just outside Colombia Falls Montana for 9 days. About 30 minutes from the west gate. Once in the park, grab a map at the visitor's center, or download one. Very thorough suggestions on trails based on length and difficulty. Even the short easy trails offer amazing scenery. Going to the sun road was choked with traffic all day until evening. The free shuttles on that road are your friend. We wandered all over that park for 8 days and didn't come close to seeing everything. BYOBS. Bring your own bear spray. My girlfriend/now wife has drug me along to many far away places, but every single day I think about Glacier and would go back at the first opportunity. | |
