Subject: Blowing out/Cleaning a semi truck radiator

Central Nebraska

What is the preferred way to clean dust and grain dust/chaff out of your truck radiators?  I spent 10 minutes with the air compressor on mine this morning and was shocked how much came out and how much less my engine fan ran today.  In the past I've removed the charge air cooler and used a pressure washer from a few feet away.  That truck stays real cool now!

Edit to Add....The truck in question is a 2014 Kenworth T680 with an ISX15.  It has never overheated on me but in my opinion the temperature is like a pogo stick.  The fan does a good job of cooling it down but it doesn't take much load for it to starting working its way back up.
