Lapel, In | AT, I am remembering back when I was about 12 years old, sledding in the deep, cold snow down a very steep hill in the pasture. About 3/4 the way down and having hit terminal velocity for that hill, I hit a buried rock. The sled then catapulted me high into the air, sending me headlong into the deep snow where I came to rest, much to my chagrin. What was the lesson in that,I thought ?I didn't see the wreck coming. Had I seen the rock, I could have rolled off the sled, unharmed. Since I am now a strong believer in Romans 8:28, I now see the significance of that sled ride. There will always be a hidden rock in our rapid descent and there will always be a time to bail before the crash at the bottom. The ride down is never a straight line. And there will always be bumps in the road. May the Force be with you. | |
