Engines is tore down to the block. All rod and main bearings show signs of some damage with #2 rod bearing being the one that spun and caused the engine knock and #3 main bearing looking the worst out of all the rest.

I'm trying to figure out what happened at these low hours. Looked at the block to try and figure out how it oils.

Vertical passage on R.H. side of block feeds oil to a horizontal passage that takes oil to the L.H. side of the block directly over and feeds #3 main on the way by to feed the main oil galley on the L.H. side of the block.
#3 main feeds #2 rod. Clear as mud right? I drew a picture below.

Pulled all soft plugs in oil galleys to find what I assume to be sealant next to the plugs. It's hard and doesn't break up easy.

I'm only coming up with 3 ideas.

A- A piece of sealant made its way to #3 main/starved it for oil and started the chain reaction.
B- A piece of crap was on the clean side of the filter and was pumped directly in the engine after an oil change and caused the chain reaction. Yes I'm rethinking how I go about prefilling oil filters. Makes me sick to think it could be as simple as that.
C- Some defect in the bearing that took this long to reveal itself and fail. Rod cap nuts were tight upon disassembly.

Going to tear into the valving/passages on the oil filter/cooler housing tomorrow.

Any ideas anybody?
