The Gen3 can be hooked up to an SRM planter (i.e. vDrive and DF etc) with just the dual CAN harness that comes with Gen3, however on the combine side a different YSM and a cable or 2 is needed to use the Gen3 instead of Gen2 with YieldSense.

That being said, I think it may be possible to view a planter layer side by side with a combine layer using the split screen in the Gen3 but I'm not 100% certain.  Most customers I've worked with are using FieldView for both field operations (planting and harvest) so they use climate to do the yield by hybrid reports and tracking more often than not...if and when climate works correctly.
