Looks like it’s the same part as mine has.
I got it out and carefully stretched the opening with a pick. Used a little heat and was able to get it to a full circle opening looking through it
I’ve got the lever wired down so it doesn’t keep the opening collapsed until I use it next time.
I just need a bigger tip if I’m going to use it on a shaft spinning in a lathe. I had a keyway I didn’t want to fill in so I just used it like a brazing torch to deposit the metal where I wanted it.. When I got done I heated the rest of this short shaft up cherry red and let it cool slow.
