NW KS | Is it a fairly recent android phone? If you are running android 9 or later(released in 2018) you could set the phone to use adguard DNS servers with private DNS. This doesn't get all of the ads but it does cut down on a fair amount of them. It also can break some url links. One example of links that end up broken are the sponsored google search results. These are typically links to a product on a website like ebay, amazon, walmart etc. This can make it annoying to do google searches on your phone for a product you are looking to by. It isn't very hard to setup or turn on and off if you want to give it a try.

If you don't like the way it work simply go back to the same setting page you found before and change the setting from private dns to off. | |
