3/4's of an inch probably doesn't much more than fill in the corrugations of the pipe. Which quite possibly gives the pipe better flow, much like dual wall pipe does.
Bigger question is whether the six inch is big enough for the area you want to drain, at the rate of drainage you want to accomplish.
Do you have any idea how much slope there is with the existing six inch pipe? The amount of slope will make a huge difference with how many acres you can adequately drain.
