New Mexico | plants say the starch content of this years corn is good ( comparable to the 08 corn ) even though the corn is lighter.
Thus E plants also say efficiency is only off 4 to 5% due to corn quality issues.
Spin it however you want.
The TRUTH is there is a huge diff from the LIE of 40% less efficiency spun by some supposed farmer vs the Truth of only 4% to 5% less efficiency.
From a feeding standpoint.
If Your corn is light...You get docked. That simple.
Matter of fact if your corn weighs less than 54 lbs., that is NOT Number 2 corn.
It is Number 3 corn.
Since theres alot of foriegn material too, it's pretty easy to call Most of it Number 3 corn and price it accordingly.
Bottom line is simply feed about 10% less corn and more of other better ingredients for optimal digestive carry of the rations.
USDA has way over estimated feed usage of corn in the usa ( last report ).
Don't act too suprised when they adjust that.
