TedBear you saved the day. I checked the heavy red/black cable for 12v battery power. There was none there. Turns out that when I hooked up the fertilizer spreader the wiring harness that goes to the spreader has 2 black/red connectors and I plugged power into the wrong one. After 2 days of frustration I send a heartfelt thanks.
TedBear again is on the money. This is the number one cause that I see of implement functions not working. Either wrong high current plug (black without additional battery power cable installed), or a blown 30A fuse. The give away is that everything else seems to work except for the largest current draw item. Strip till, spreaders, or planters it’s the hydraulic rate valves that don’t function, on liquid systems it’s the ball valves.
Common issue I see with guys on spring startups. I think water gets into the tractor side implement plug during spring melt and shorts the power and ground pins blowing the fuse. |
