Subject: borrowing our way to job creation...??

Get ready for the next TARP...

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/31/opinion/31sun1.html?ref=opinion

"But right now there is no way to sustain a recovery unless millions of jobs are created soon — and the private sector alone cannot do that."

This time it's different.. the government REALLY CAN BORROW MONEY AND HEAL THE ECONOMY!!!

The private sector is the only sector that creates jobs and pays the taxes to support the government.. it does not work the other way around...  No matter how many times Krugman says it will..  It appears that the more Washington tries to save the economy.. the worse things get.  Washington's solution to high energy costs?  Pass Cap and Trade and promote MASSIVE TAXES... yal right that's what a struggling consumer needs HIGHER COSTS.  How about Health Care?  Have the Government take over it for the low low price of $2.5 Trillion.. yal.. that will work...??!!!??!

Isn't there a lesson in Argentina, Iceland, Greece, etc... YOU CAN NOT BORROW YOUR WAY OUT OF A DEBT CRISIS!!!

That is why my posting below on the 5.7% GDP growth even though most of the Stimulus has yet to be spent and Congress didn't pass a Massive redirection of the economy in Health Care or Cap and Trade..  YET THE ECONOMY GREW in the fourth quarter ALL BY ITSELF!!!

If Washington would just leave us alone and STOP RUNNING UP the credit card... there is NO EASY PAINLESS way out.. we'll have to pay off the debt through earnings (not more debt..) and the private sector will have to create the jobs to provide the growth...  And Government is going to have to shrink.. to live within tax receipts less debt repayment!!!
