110%. Were many dry....yes. And some really did have a bad season. Many I think just learned what has happened here many times, just enough rain to keep roots moving down deep. And little or no leaching. Genetics may have changed a little, but had we had the heat(especially hot nights) of 2012 or the 80's. The new hybrids would cook too.
