I agree. The problem is that there is too much money and too little moral/ethical behavior in much of our economy, government and population in general. And this is being reflected in the quality of the government.

In the end, however, I believe WE as the electorate, will get the government that WE collectively deserve.

When morals and ethics can be bought, they will be.

When WE elect our government based on several million dollars worth of slick, calculated and usually negative media advertising, we will get a government largely of slick, calculating and usually negative career-oriented rather than service-oriented people whose focus once elected shifts to staying elected rather than risk losing a cushy ego-feeding high paying job with good health insurance.
