It’s amazing how complex diesels are now days.
If an engine is 30% cleaner but uses 30% more fuel to do the same job is it any better?
I would say these new diesels are less environmentally friendly than an old ones.
We have several diesels on the farm and I have to say the new ones with 10 speeds especially empty are almost 40 percent better mileage and still better loaded with much more power than the old ones. Have not run across any getting worse than the older ones. |
